Abstract Operation of aspiration bag collectors has been considered. It has been shown that rational selection of filter cloth makes it possible to improve efficiency of the aspiration bag collectors. Plastic filter cloth is suitable for cassette filter of FKI type. Efficient cleaning the off-gases of glass furnaces is provided in this case. After cleaning, the dust content is not more than 2 mg per m3. In case of filters operated at high temperatures, glass cloth, basalt cloth, carbonic cloth are applied. In case of moderate temperatures, synthesized fibers are utilized. Dust can be collected at temperatures of 200-210掳C.
